Our Troop Information

Troop 88 is sponsored by Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church and we are part of the Connecticut Yankee Council - the Pomperaug district.

We meet every Wednesday at Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church on Fairfield Woods Road at 7:00. We are an estabished troop that will celebrate 50 years in 2007. We have strong leadership both adult and youth staff and we are involved in communtiy service projects. Our troop also does lots of fun activities for the scouts. Our leadership dedicates their time so the scouts can have the best experience possible. To learn more about what fun activities our troop does click here.

Fundraising - We do one fund raiser a year in July our troop helps the Sons Of Italy with the Italian Festival in Westport. For that weeekend each scout and family is asked to work a shift at the fair. Any additional shifts the boys choose to work will put the money directly into that scouts account to help off-set costs of trips/camp.

Troop Dues - Our annual troop dues are $ (coming soon)

Additional Fees - We do a monthly camping trip and additional activities through out the year. Each trip will have a cost to it for both scout and additional family members that may be attending. The fees for these trips will be outlined on a handout as each trip is upcoming. All meals are covered under this fee as well as any troop expenses for the camping site.

Each patrol will plan out their own menu for the camping trips and the boys will be given a budget and will shop and prepare their own meals. Adult meals on these trips are also covered under this fee - our senior youth staff will prepare the meals for the adults.
